For the first time, the number of German cable homes with digital subscriptions has passed the halfway mark.
The total number of digital homes now stands at 9.9 million, or 55.9% of the total of 17.7 million cable homes, according to ANGA, the German cable association.
The new figure represents a growth of 16% since the spring, compared with 13.4% growth in the same period last year.
The research also shows that the total number of satellite DTH homes is 17.6 million.
