Indonesian DTH player GCN selects Viaccess-Orca´s smartcard CAS

Indonesia´s satellite TV provider Global Comm Nusantara (GCN) has opted Viaccess-Orca´s smart card conditional access system (CAS) for their upcoming interactive satellite based DTH service branded as ‘neotv’. GCN targets to reach more than 30 million viewers through their neotv service. neotv´s STBs will be supplied by Newland Communication and the SMS will be managed by DuoSoftware.
GCN plans to deliver educational and cultural contents to their subscribers that will enable them to support diverse number of commercial business models such as subscription based, pre-paid and pay-per-view models. Viaccess-Orca´s CAS enables advanced security features that include content redistribution management and extended STB protection. The platform also provides features such as personal digital video recorder, preview per channel and parental control.
