A mixed picture among TDCs television businesses in the second quarter as TDC-branded customers grew by 11,000, against a loss of 8,000 in cable division YouSee.
The losses resulted from a fall in both individual customers and those receiving service through antenna associations.
ARPU also declined amid migrations by TDC customers and spindown to lower packages on the YouSee network.
The relaunched TDC TV proposition has successfully reduced the churn rate and 23% have now switched to the new portfolio.
The new Fullrate TV continued its positive trend from recent quarters, still with a relatively low rate of cannibalisation within TDC Group.
Between them TDC and Fullrate TV grew revenues by 16.8% or DKK 64m in the first half on subscriber growth of 37,000.
Revenue in YouSee decreased by 1.1% or DKK 18m in H1 2014, driven by customer shortfall as ARPU remained flat.
YouSee’s customer base decreased by 17,000 customers.
