Ziggo launches Wi-Fi phone calls JULY 4, 2014 07.15 EUROP

Ziggo wifi hot spotsDutch operator Ziggo is to introduce Ziggo Bapp for its fixed line customers.
With this free app, Ziggo customers can make calls via Wi-Fi using a smartphone or tablet and at the same rates as a fixed line subscription.This app is a handy and cheap option, particularly for making calls from abroad.
For Ziggo customers with a VolopBellen Altijd subscription the costs for all Dutch mobile and fixed numbers are already included, even from abroad.
Ziggo Bapp can be downloaded free from the App Store and the Google Play Store.Once customers have made a Ziggo Bapp account in MijnZiggo and activated the app on their smartphone or tablet (iOS/Android), customers can immediately make calls with Ziggo Bapp.
Ziggo has been testing Bapp for some time, while UPC has also launched a similar service some time ago.
