ALi, the set-top box (STB) system-on-chip developer, has announced a new platform for Brazil’s Analog Switch-off(ASO) initiatives. The SoC solutions for STB integrate GINGA middleware solutions. The company said that the platform is based on ALi M3823′s high definition ISDB-T integrated SoC.
M3823 supports real-time operating system as well as Linux, which enables efficient execution of application and smooth porting of middleware. According to ALi, the M3823 is adaptable and can suit Brazil’s unique ISDB-T digital broadcast standard and GINGA middleware specifications. M3823 comes with a high performance application processor and DDR3 memory.

With our extensive experiences in delivering innovative STB technologies, we are determined to continue leading the segment and capture growth opportunities in Brazil.” ALi will be demonstrating the GINGA-enabled M3823 platforms at NAB 2015 Show.
