The Polish telco Netia ended 2015 with 160,000 subscribers to its TV services.
The figure, though up from the 135,000 (+19%) posted a year earlier, was slightly lower than might have been expected due to Netia changing the way it presented its multiroom services.
The impact of this was a reduction of both 4K TV RGUs and total RGUs. Netia notes that 42% of its on-net broadband customers now take TV services from Netia.
Netia suffered a fall in total RGUs in 2015 – down from 2.3 million to 2.25 million – due mostly to negative trends in the fixed-line telephony segment and decision to focus on its existing voice (WLR) and broadband internet access (BSA) customer base.
Netia’s revenues in 2015 amounted to PLN1.572 billion (€359.7 million), down 6.1% on the previous year, while its adjusted EBITDA was PLN457 million (-7%).
