Around 60% of Dutch homes have connected TVs

Around 60% of Dutch households had connected TVs in October, up from 49% a year earlier, according to the latest results from the Telecompaper Consumer Panel.
Around 34% of households watch internet content over their smart TV, while the remainder connect the TV via an external device, such as a media player or games console, in order to watch online content.
Around 14% of consumers connect their PC or laptop to the TV in order to watch internet content. Consumers in their 30s or younger were more likely to watch internet content over the TV, at 70% compared to 45% of over-65s.
