Kazakhstan pay-TV operator, Alma TV, has been penalised KZT129.3 million and faces the charges of misusing its dominant position. Alma TV has reportedly offered varying tariff for its same services in different regions, said a media report.
Alma TV loses over 10% of the income from its services. It will also have KZT84 million in income from services confiscated, added the report.
Zhomart Yertayev, a Kazakh businessman and consultant of Bank RBK Directors Board, announced his plans to purchase over 50% stake in Alma TV on 20 November, 2014.
