The Russian DTH platform NTV-Plus has agreed to pay nearly R6 billion (€81.54 million) to the country’s premier football league for the right to show matches from its championship for the next three seasons.
According to Kommersant, a contract has just been approved and signed by the two parties, adding that the first payment will be made in October 1, with others to follow on a monthly basis.
Unlike previous contacts, this one gives NTV-Plus all media rights to the league.
